Edison Electric Institute is the association of shareholder-owned electric companies. EEI member companies generate approximately 79 percent of all electricity produced by electric utilities in the United States. EEI provides a forum for individuals in the electric power industry to exchange ideas and experiences and to communicate with a variety of audiences, including government. EEI develops information resources and tools to provide an accurate picture of the shareholder-owned electric industry's operations. |
